How to Change Squarespace Site Themes

When we talk about Squarespace themes it’s easy to get confused.

While many people think this refers to Squarespace templates, what it actually refers to is the styling of your Squarespace website, colors, fonts etc.

To access Squarespace styles you need to head to Website > Styles and here you’ll be presented with an extensive panel detailing the active themes on your website.

Here you can edit the styles for:

  • Themes

  • Fonts

  • Colors

  • Buttons

  • Forms

  • Miscellaneous

You simply need to click on each option to change them. Squarespace AI will suggest options when you click and you can either choose from these or from the wider style options available.

When you select a theme, it will change all of the other options to match that theme (colors, fonts, buttons etc) but you can also change each of those individually too to create a bespoke style that suits your brand.

Squarespace site styles effectively lets you make wide stroke changes to your whole website in just a few clicks. I recommend having a play around with each of the options to find the style and theme that you’re looking for.
