Send your first email blast with Squarespace email campaigns
Email marketing is massive in 2023 and if you run an online business, you absolutely should be investing in it.
Those with a Squarespace website can utilise the platform for their email marketing too thanks to Squarespace’s email campaigns feature.
How to send out an email blast on Squarespace
Let’s take a look at how to send out an email blast on Squarespace.
Head to your marketing dashboard and select email campaigns. Click create and select the blast option.
Scroll through the templates and choose the one you want to use for your email blast. Personally, I like to use a simple template to keep the focus on the content but it’s totally up to you and your branding style.
You can also opt to use a blank template by selecting start blank from the left hand sidebar.
When it comes to building your email blast template, you do so in the same way you build out a webpage. First add your title and then edit the information in the footer to make sure it’s up to date and legally compliant.

Now you can start adding in your blocks. Click the + icon and start adding the blocks you want to include. You can add images, text, products and blog posts as well as lines and spacers.
For each block you add you can move them around on the email blast with the up and down arrows that appear when you click on the block. You can also edit the blocks to change the spacing and size in order to achieve your desired email blast appearance.
You can edit your text blocks in the same way you can on a webpage, changing the style and size of fonts and turning sections into headers etc.
Other cool elements you can add to your email blasts include a button that links directly to a page on your website and a discounts block that allows you to provide subscribers with a unique discount code.

Once you’re ready to send your email blast click email in the top right corner and add the subject line you want your email blast to have and the preview text. You can also then select who you want to send your email too by clicking on recipients. Within this you can select which email list you want your email to go to.
If you want to schedule your email for a future date and time, untoggle send immediately and select your distribution time.
There’s then two buttons you can choose from. Send test will send a test email to you for you to check whilst send to recipients will send out/schedule the email blast.
And that’s how you send an email blast using Squarespace! Quick and simple but an effective and crucial part of your wider digital marketing.
Have a play around and put together your first email blast using Squarespace…and don’t forget to let me know how you found it!
