How to Add and Edit Blog Categories in Squarespace

Step 1: Navigate to Your Blog

1. Go to Pages in your Squarespace dashboard.

2. Select your Blog Page to view your posts.

Step 2: Add a Category

1. Click on the three dots next to a blog post to edit it.

2. Go to the Options tab.

3. Under Categories, enter a category name (e.g. “Example 1”).

4. Click Save to apply the category.

5. Repeat this for additional categories if needed.

How to Delete a Blog Category in Squarespace

If you no longer need a category, you can remove it easily:

Step 1: Open the Category Manager

1. Click the Settings Cog next to your blog page.

2. Navigate to Advanced.

3. Select Manage Categories.

Step 2: Delete an Unwanted Category

1. Click on the category you want to remove.

2. You can either edit the name or delete it completely.

3. Click Delete, and Squarespace will remove that category from all blog posts associated with it.

4. Double-check your posts to confirm the category has been removed.
