How to Host a Video Library on Squarespace

Squarespace’s video library is a great feature to add to a website, but a lot of people still don’t know how to utilize them.

In this guide, we’ll take a look at how to add a video library to your Squarespace website as well as how to populate it.

To add a video library head to Pages and click the + icon to add a new page.

From the dropdown that appears select Videos and choose the template that you want to use for your video library page.

This adds a video library to your website. To populate the library in the left hand sidebar select the + icon, just like you would when adding a new blog post for example.

Select add video and you can either upload a file, select from your library if you’ve already uploaded the video to Squarespace, or use a YouTube or Vimeo link.

Once you’ve added the video you can change the title and write an excerpt for the video too.

You can also give your video a custom URL and select the related videos that you want to display on the page.

In the left hand menu you can select categories and add a category for your video too.

In the same left hand menu you can also select SEO and here you can change the SEO title and SEO description for the video page.

Once you’ve made your edits, you can either publish or schedule your video to go live, just like you do with a blog post.

And that’s it, that’s how you add a video library to your Squarespace website!
