How to automatically share your Squarespace blog posts on social media

Once you’ve written your blog post and you’re ready to set it live, you can enable automatic sharing.

Before you hit publish, click on the top panel to go to the post settings. From the sidebar select Share > Connect Account to connect the relevant social media account.

There are loads of different social media platforms you can connect such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Pinterest.

To connect your account you’ll be directed to the social media platform you’ve chosen where you’ll need to log in and grant Squarespace access permissions.

Once you’ve done that you’ll be presented with a box to choose the format of your sharing post.

You can add a different syntax into the box, depending on what you want to share on social media:

%t - blog post title

%a - blog post author

%u - blog post URL

Within the default post format box you can add your own text that will be used for every post e.g. “New blog post %t. Check it out: %u”

Select the page you want the post to publish to, hit save, and you’ll have set up your automatic sharing.

You can then repeat the process for each social media platform or account you want to share your blog posts to.
