Step-by-Step: How to Upload a PDF to Squarespace

1. Go to the “Pages” section
From your Squarespace dashboard, head to the Pages panel. This is where all your site pages live.

2. Add a new Link page
Click the + button to create something new, then choose Link. This lets you link to an external page, or in this case, a file.

4. Upload your PDF (or any other file)
Click Upload File and choose the document from your computer. For most users, this will be a PDF, but Squarespace supports other file types as well.

Once uploaded, Squarespace automatically generates a unique URL for your file.

5. Name your file and save
Give your new link a title (for example, “Download My PDF Guide”), then hit Save.

Now, when you click the link, it opens your PDF in the browser. Visitors can view it directly or click the download icon in the top corner to save it to their device.

That’s It, Your File Is Live!

And that’s all there is to it. In just a few clicks, you’ve uploaded a file to Squarespace, created a link, and made it downloadable for visitors.
