How to Opt Your Squarespace Website Out of AI Crawlers

AI

We all know that AI is here to stay but if you have a website on the internet, you might be worried about AI using your content to teach itself.

The fact is, AI crawlers can crawl and devour basically anything online in order to better understand a subject and provide the answers a user is looking for.

It’s a controversial topic at the best of times and plenty of people, rightly so, don’t want AI crawlers to be able to access their sites.

If you’re one of them and you run a Squarespace website then you need to opt your website out of AI crawlers.

Squarespace has added this new option recently and every website owner needs to be aware of it.

So, to opt your Squarespace website out of AI crawlers head to Settings > Crawlers and here you’ll see an Artificial Intelligence Crawlers option. Simply make sure this option is toggled to off/untoggled and your website will no longer appear in AI searches.
