2. Find Your Deleted Page

In the Deleted Pages section, you’ll see:

  • The name of the deleted page

  • The date it was deleted

Pages remain here for 30 days from the deletion date. After that, they’re permanently removed and can’t be recovered.

3. Restore the Page

To recover the page:

  • Click Restore next to the page

  • Confirm the action

That’s it, your page is officially restored!

Where Does the Restored Page Go?

When you restore a deleted page, Squarespace does not automatically return it to its original location.

Instead, the page is added to the Not Linked section of your Pages panel.

From there, you can:

  • Drag it into your main navigation

  • Move it into a folder

  • Keep it hidden until you’re ready to publish it again

It’s a quick drag-and-drop process.

How to Permanently Delete Pages

If you’re sure you don’t need a page anymore:

  • Go to Deleted Pages

  • Click Empty Trash

This removes the page immediately instead of waiting the full 30 days.

Important Things to Know

  • Pages are recoverable for 30 days

  • After 30 days, deleted pages are gone forever

  • Restored pages go to Not Linked, not the main menu

  • Navigation placement must be done manually after restoring

Final Thoughts

Deleting a page by accident doesn’t have to be a disaster. With Squarespace’s trash feature, you can quickly restore deleted pages and get your site back on track in minutes.

If you work with Squarespace regularly, it’s worth knowing exactly where deleted pages go, it can save you a lot of panic later on.
