Round All Images on a Squarespace Website

Looking to give your Squarespace website a softer, more cohesive aesthetic by rounding all your images? You’re in the right place.

Whether you’ve just started building your site or you’re already live, there’s a quick and efficient way to round every image, without the hassle of manually editing each one.

In this guide, I’ll show you how to add a simple custom CSS snippet that instantly rounds all images site-wide, including image blocks and section backgrounds.

Why Round Your Images?

Rounded images can soften the overall look and feel of your site. If your design includes rounded buttons or cards, applying the same effect to your images helps create a consistent, polished style.

But going through and individually editing each image? That’s a serious time-waster, especially on image-heavy sites.

The Easy Fix: Use Custom CSS

Instead of manually rounding each image, use this CSS snippet to apply rounded corners to every image on your site in seconds.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Log into your Squarespace account

  2. Navigate to your Custom CSS box

  3. Paste in the following code:

A Few Notes About Section Backgrounds

While this CSS handles most images beautifully,  including inline images and inset section backgrounds, there are a couple of limitations to be aware of:

  • Inset Sections: Rounded corners work perfectly here.

  • Full Bleed Sections (like hero banners): Unfortunately, CSS doesn’t round these reliably due to how Squarespace renders full-width background images. You might notice some display quirks on these sections.

If full-bleed section backgrounds are a big part of your design, you may want to selectively apply the CSS only where needed, or redesign your layout to favor inset sections for full compatibility.

The Bottom Line

If you're after a quick, global styling change to make your Squarespace site feel more refined, this CSS snippet is your new best friend.

It's a fast, effective way to create visual harmony across your images with zero manual effort.
