Resize multiple blocks at once in Squarespace Fluid Engine

There’s a new Squarespace feature in town and I’m excited.

The latest roll out from Squarespace is the ability to resize multiple blocks at once using Fluid Engine. The new update allows users to select multiple blocks in the same section, highlight them all together, and drag to resize them all at the same time.

Why am I so excited about this you may ask. Well, this update allows Squarespace designers like myself to ensure we’re scaling things up or down at the correct ratio.

Resizing multiple blocks individually offers a lot of room for mistakes and if you start scaling elements down at the wrong ratio, you’re going to totally mess up the layout of your web page.

So, how do you use the new feature?

Navigate to your edit dashboard and select the section of your web page you want to work on.

Highlight everything within the section that you want to resize by dragging the cursor across the section, making sure you’re collecting every block as you do so.

You can then drag the corners of the highlighted section to resize any way you want. Hit save and exit the edit dashboard to check out your work.

It really is that simple. A simple bit of highlighting and dragging and you can totally resize multiple blocks at once, making sure you’re scaling them up or down at the correct ratio.

This isn’t the only Squarespace update that’s got me excited recently (ok, maybe I do need to get out more) ... check out this article full of some of what I think are the best Squarespace updates from the past few months.
