How to duplicate a product on Squarespace

Anyone who has or is creating an e-commerce store on Squarespace will know that it can be a massive task to upload all of your products.

Most e-commerce stores will sell tens if not hundreds of different products, therefore adding each product individually can be time consuming and draining.

Once you’ve added one product and edited the page to look and function exactly how you want, wouldn’t it be great if you could just duplicate this for every new product you want to add?

Well the good news is that I know how you can do exactly that to save you time and brainpower. Read on to find out more…

How to duplicate a product on Squarespace

To duplicate a product first navigate to your pages dashboard and add your store.

Once you’ve added the store to your main navigation, you’ll need to start adding products.

When you add a product you’ll need to input details such as the name of your product, the price you want to sell it for, how much stock you have as well as uploading an image of the item.

Within the additional info section you can begin to build out your product page and how you want it to look.

Chances are you’re going to want all of your product pages to follow the same template, hence why it’s much handier to know how to duplicate the product page than having to build each one from scratch.

Once you’ve published your first product page, you can then duplicate it.

In order to duplicate your product you need to navigate to the edit dashboard for your chosen product page.

In the top corner of the editing panel, next to the save button, you’ll find the duplicate icon. Clicking that will create a copy of your published product page.

Simply repeat this process for every product you need to add to your store.

Having the option to duplicate your product page will save you time, especially if you’re facing the daunting task of uploading hundreds of new products to an e-commerce site.
