How to start from a blank template on Squarespace
Can you start a Squarespace website from a blank template?
The short answer is yes. The long answer? It’s a little more complicated.
If you’re a Squarespace Circle member then you’ll have access to blank templates which can be used to start a Squarespace website from scratch.

At the time of writing, there are 157 different templates available on Squarespace when you first begin building your website. Alongside this is the option to build your own template.
To use a blank template, you need to be a Circle member. It used to be a feature available to everyone, but not anymore.
So, how do you become a Squarespace Circle member? You simply need to have three active websites on your Squarespace account. As soon as you do, you’ll be enrolled into the Squarespace Circle program.

If you ARE a Circle member and want to find the blank template option, head to your main dashboard and select Create Website. You can then choose the blank template option from the drop down menu that appears.
Hit start with this design and give your website a name. You’ll then have your blank template set up and ready to go, allowing you to start from scratch with your Squarespace website.
